Canada grants some Caribbean passport holders the ability to enter with an electronic visa

Canada

On June 6, 2023, the Canadian government announced the addition of 13 countries to the Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) program, including Saint Lucia, Antigua and Barbuda, and Saint Kitts and Nevis, subject to certain conditions. These conditions include the applicant having obtained a Canadian visa in the past ten years or holding a valid US tourist visa. This applies only to individuals travelling by air and not through any other mode of travel.

This news is an added value and encouraging for obtaining a passport from Saint Lucia, Antigua and Barbuda, and Saint Kitts and Nevis, as it demonstrates the strength and capacity of these passports to expand and provide their holders with ease of travel.
