Investment in Montenegro

About Montenegro

The state of Montenegro gained its independence from Serbia in 2006, and since then, the country’s government has focused its efforts and resources on achieving economic growth to reduce unemployment rates and attract direct domestic investment. It has also worked to support the growth and development of the tourism sector, which has become one of the most profitable industries.

Montenegro is located in southeastern Europe, bordered by Bosnia and Herzegovina to the northwest, Serbia and Kosovo to the east, Albania to the south, and Croatia to the west. Its strategic location, along with government policies and its moderate climate, has made it one of the top tourist destinations in Europe.

While Montenegro is not a member of the European Union, it actively works towards joining the EU by 2025 and has adopted the euro as its official currency.
