Spain Non-Lucrative Visa (NLV) is designed for individuals who wish to reside in Spain without carrying out any employment or professional activity in the country and who can support themselves through passive income from outside Spain.

The program also provides the possibility of applying for permanent residency after 5 years of legal residence.

Spain Non-Lucrative Visa Requirements and Eligibility

 

The requirements for the Spain Non-Lucrative Visa include:

  • The main applicant must be at least 18 years of age.
  • The applicant must be a citizen of a country outside the European Union or European Economic Area.
  • The applicant must demonstrate a stable source of passive income from outside Spain.
  • The applicant must not carry out any employment or professional activity in Spain.
  • The applicant must have a clean criminal record.
  • The applicant must have private health insurance in Spain.

Financial Requirements for the Spain Non-Lucrative Visa

 

The main applicant must demonstrate a monthly income of approximately EUR 2,400.When family members are included in the application, approximately EUR 600 per month is required for each additional dependent. Demonstrating sufficient income is a key requirement for obtaining the visa and residence permit. The applicant must also provide evidence of bank savings of at least EUR 60,000.
