  Saint Lucia is located in the Caribbean, north of Trinidad and Tobago. The country covers an area of ​​only 617 km2. The country is characterized by its tropical climate and volcanic mountainous terrain. The total population is 184,400, and its capital, Castries, is the most populous of its cities. The culture of Saint Lucia is dominated by the ancient traditions of Africa, eastern India and the English heritage, as it is characterized by a mix of multinationals and cultures in most parts of the country, and English is used among them as the official language. The official currency is the Eastern Caribbean dollar. The country has an open economy, with a gross domestic product of about $1.787 billion USD. St. Lucia features a variety of destinations and natural attractions, and the main tourist attractions are fishing, water sports and hiking across the country which is visited by more than 1.2 tourists each year.
