  The Italian Republic consists of 20 regions in southern Europe and is part of the European Union with an area of ​​301,340 km2. It is affected by a mild seasonal climate and is characterized by its mountainous terrain and coastal plains. The country is inhabited by more than 60 million people, and its capital Rome, is the most crowded among its cities. The culture of Italy is dominated by ancient traditions influenced by Roman history and heritage. It is also characterized by a multinational and multicultural mix in most parts of the country, and the Italian language is used among them as the official language. Its official currency is the euro, and the country has an open economy, with a gross domestic product of about $2.1 trillion USD, which puts it in 4th place among European countries in terms of economy, and the services and industry sector plays an important role in the country's domestic product. Italy is characterized by a variety of tourist, cultural and natural destinations, where it is especially famous for its Culture and beautiful historical cities, as it has 58 UNESCO World Heritage sites and many monuments scattered throughout the country which is visited by more than 94 million tourists every year.
