About Iceland: 

  The island of Iceland consists of 8 regions located in northern Europe between the North Atlantic Ocean and the Greenland Sea. The country is the seventeenth in Europe with an area of ​​103,000 km2, and is characterized by its cold and windy climate most of the year, and the terrain consists mostly of plateaus, mountain peaks and glaciers. It has a total population of about 372,295, making it one of the least populous countries in Europe. The official currency is the Icelandic krona, and the country has an open economy, with a GDP of 25.4 billion USD, with the industry and tourism sectors along with the geothermal sector playing an important role in the GDP. Iceland is characterized by a variety of destinations and attractions, cultural and natural, as it has 3 UNESCO World Heritage Sites scattered across the country which is visited by a total of more than 2 million tourists every year where tourism in Iceland is mainly active during the summer months.
