  The country of Antigua and Barbuda consists of two main islands located in the Caribbean Sea, southeast of Puerto Rico. The total population is 96,286, and its capital, Saint John, is the most populous of its cities. The culture of Antigua and Barbuda is dominated by a history of successive migrations that occurred during the past centuries, as it is characterized by a multicultural mix and religions in most parts of the country, and they speak English among them as the official language. The official currency is the East Caribbean dollar. The country has an open economy, with a gross domestic product of about $2.7 billion, The industry and tourism sectors are the main contributors to the country's economy. Antigua and Barbuda is characterized by a variety of destinations and attractions, cultural and natural, and the most popular major tourist activities are fishing, water sports and hiking across the country which is visited by more than 270,000 tourists each year.
