About Taiwan: 

  The Republic of Taiwan is located in East Asia, on the border with eastern China and the Philippine Sea. The country covers an area of ​​36,197 km2, and is characterized by its tropical marine climate with the rainy season from June to August, and its mountainous terrain with plain lands in the west. With a total population of 23.5 million, its capital, Taipei, is the most crowded of its cities. The culture of Taiwan is dominated by ancient traditions mixed between Chinese, Japanese and Western heritage, as it is characterized by a mix of multinationals, cultures and religions in most parts of the country, and they use Mandarin Chinese as the official language. The official currency is the Taiwan dollar, and the country has an open economy, with a gross domestic product of about $635 billion, which puts it in fourth place among East Asian countries in terms of economy. Taiwan is characterized by a variety of destinations and attractions, cultural and natural, as it has two UNESCO World Heritage sites scattered throughout the country which is visited by more than 12 million tourists each year.
