  Greece consists of 13 regions and is located in the European Union, with an area of ​​131,957 square kilometers, thus it is the fifteenth largest country in Europe. The country is characterized by its mild, humid climate in winter and hot dry summer. In terms of terrain, it is mostly mountainous. Greece has a long coast with many beaches and world-renowned islands such as Santorini and Mykonos. With a total population of more than 10 million people, the most populous city is the capital, Athens. Thousands of cultures and civilizations have succeeded in Greece over the years, and the official language spoken in the country is Greek. The official currency is the euro, and the country has an open economy, with a gross domestic product of nearly $216 billion USD, and the industry and tourism sectors are the main contributors to the country's economy. Greece is characterized by a variety of destinations and attractions, cultural and natural, and is famous for ancient Greek historical sites and beautiful resorts, in addition to that, it has a total of 18 UNESCO World Heritage sites scattered throughout the country that are visited by more than 32 million tourists every year.
