About Bulgaria: 

  The Republic of Bulgaria consists of 28 provinces and is it is part of the European Union. It is located in southeastern Europe with an area of 110,993 km2. The country is characterized by its most temperate climate and mountainous terrain with plain lands in the north and southeast. It has a total population of 7 million, making it one of the least numerous countries in the European Union, and its capital, Sofia, is the most populous of its cities. Bulgarian culture is dominated by ancient traditions mixed with the heritage of the Ottoman Empire, which is characterized by a multinational mix and cultures in most parts of the country, and Bulgarian is used among them as the official language. The official currency is the Bulgarian lev, and the country has an open economy, with a gross domestic product of about $80 billion USD. Bulgaria is characterized by a variety of destinations and attractions, cultural and natural, as it has 10 UNESCO World Heritage Sites scattered throughout the country that are visited by more than 13 million tourists every year.

  Bulgaria's passport is currently ranked 15th according to the Reach Immigration Passport Index, providing access to 177 destinations around the world, and is considered one of the most desirable passports as it gives its holder the highest degree of mobility between various destinations.
