Ghana and Saint Kitts and Nevis Sign Visa Waiver Agreement for Ordinary Passport Holders

Ghana and Saint Kitts and Nevis signed a new bilateral agreement on March 4, 2026, allowing ordinary passport holders to travel between the two countries without a visa. The announcement was made during the official visit of Saint Kitts and Nevis Prime Minister Dr. Terrance Drew to Ghana, where he met with President John Dramani Mahama in Accra.

This agreement expands upon the 2018 visa waiver agreement, which previously applied only to diplomatic and service passport holders. Under the new agreement, ordinary passport holders from both countries will be able to travel without a visa.

Prime Minister Drew noted that the agreement enhances practical cooperation between the two countries, stating, “By removing visa requirements, we are making it easier for our people to connect, collaborate, and explore new opportunities”.

On the other hand, this achievement is part of a series of initiatives undertaken by the Government of St. Kitts and Nevis to strengthen its international presence and expand its network of diplomatic and economic relations worldwide.
