In a move toward the country’s digital transformation, the Government of Saint Kitts and Nevis has announced that it will launch a pilot Digital ID project starting in January 2026.
Initially, it is expected that a digital ID will be issued to around 25,000 citizens, granting them access to a range of essential government services, such as applying for passports, requesting birth certificates, and registering companies.
The Digital ID pilot in Saint Kitts and Nevis is part of a broader plan to develop the nation’s digital infrastructure, which also includes creating a digital payments platform and an integrated system for secure and interoperable data sharing.
For holders of citizenship through the Citizenship by Investment program, this digital advancement will provide a more efficient experience in managing their transactions, adding practical value to Saint Kitts and Nevis citizenship in a world increasingly driven by digitization and innovation.
