Backlog induces suspension of Quebec investor scheme

The Quebec immigrant investor scheme has been suspended until Jul 2020. The suspension is temporary and likely to last about 8 eight months before a new window opens.

As many as 20,000 wealthy investors are waiting for permanent residence in Canada. At this rate, it would take Government at least six years to clear the backlog.

Investors should not be discouraged however, with plenty of other options in provinces such as Ontario, British Colombia, and Manitoba. These provinces, among others, offer provincial nominee programs that are tailor-made for investors.
