Montenegro expands the citizenship by investment program

The Government of Montenegro has recently amended the regulations of acquiring the country’s citizenship through investment, these amendments were published through the official Gazette MNE, No. 79/18. 

The most notable of these amendments was setting the rules of how to acquire the citizenship of Montenegro through establishing any of the following development projects in the agriculture, Fishery, and wood processing sectors as follows: 

Agriculture: The primary investment required for agricultural production is 2,000,000 EUR with the requirement of employing 10 people, and for Processing projects the investment amount is 3,500,000 EUR with the requirement of employing 20 people.

Fishery: The primary investment required for Fishery production is 2,000,000 EUR with the requirement of employing 10 people, and for processing projects the investment amount is 3,500,000 EUR with the requirement of employing 20 people.

Wood Processing: The primary investment required is 4,000,000 EUR with the requirement of employing 20 people. 

These investment options come as an addition to the available investment options in Montenegro Citizenship by Investment program, which are the government fund donation in the amount of 100,000 EUR, and the real estate investment option which starts from 250,000 EUR
