COVID 19 Immigration Procedures – Malta

A small country with a population of around 490,000, managed to come up with strict measures throughout the pandemic, they were the first European country to close flights on March 10th from Italy, Spain , France, Germany and Switzerland. One of the measures that was announced early April is assisting foreign nationals returning to their home countries, and succeeded in repatriating thousands of residents and foreign nationals through subsidized flights which helped in containing the spread of the virus within the community. It is not a surprise that they have managed to have low rates of infected people from the coronavirus in all Europe.

The health system is considered one of the best in Europe and is praised by the World Health Organization (WHO) for its response to the pandemic and as a nation has been singled as one of the most successful in dealing with the COVID 19 pandemic.

It is no wonder that Malta is considered an attractive destination for individuals and families to become lifetime residents or citizens who can make use of the health system within Malta and across Europe, a family friendly country, with high possibilities and potential. It is the right time to consider this country as a plan B if not A, considering exceptional eligibility criteria for all family members.
